Welcome!

 Message from  Mary

January 21, 2013!

The circumstances of my life have changed this years.  Hence, very few  new entries!

There are still many  stories  under the heaings above for those who may be visiting my site for the first time.

* * *

These words are written by St Mary MacKillop:

“There where you are,  you will find God.”

What a big loss for atheists who miss out on the joy that comes through this faith!  So many happy events, no matter how small, happen each day to me, filling me with delight and thanksgiving  that a loving Father is caring for me.  Please God, non-believers  will find Him too!

I was corrected for referring to God as Him, not also She,  when a friend reminded me of how Jesus constantly spoke of His Father!

Mary.

  1. Hi Mary,

So very happy for you that the lady kept her word. Nice comments on Brendan’s story.
    Well done.

  2. Michael says:

Glad you found a wonderful saviour for your site and that your stories are continuing to be told. Am sure your irrepressible spirit will overcome all obstacles that come your way. Stay with it and just keep being your delightful self.

Not sure who this approving commentator is, but I like it! And, when I found out WHO IT WAS, I appreciated it all the more. Thank you, Michael, another “wonderful saviour” in an earlier “hour of need.” Mary

To WordPress: Here are my problems:
    i. Why is Log-in no longer on my WelcomePage?

ii. Why do I no longer receive photos as I write my story? (I miss this service above all)

Why no longer have Links suggested?

Met you in the restaurant at the State on wednesday, enjoyed listening to you. Whatever movie you chose to see I hope you enjoyed!! June

I am always glad of an audience as I am an ultra-extrovert, with a lot to say! But I was very happy to meet you as well, if I am right in thinking that you are one of the two ladies originally from the West Coast. I wasn’t going to the movies that day. But I AM invited by a friend to a specially-priced one this evening – Albert Nobbs. You must have found my site – I hope you found some interesting items to read. As there are over 70 entries now, you would need plenty of time to read them. Nice that you DID open my Website successfully. Mary.

  5. Angela says:

    Hello Aunty Mary,
Keep up the good work and I look forward to catching a movie with you in April

    • srmarynoonan says:

Dear Angela, Nice to get a response from my lovely niece. You know I love Movies so maybe it will be a celebration of my 86th birthday on April 24 (3 days after the Queen turns the same age!) If you look at my story, “A rose by any other Name”, you will get a little surprise! Aunty Mary.

Dear Sister Mary, I met you on the bus today (Tuesday 10th April) and we had a great chat. You had just been swimming. I found your site and am really enjoying reading through it. And guess what, we have the same birthday. April 24th. What a lovely co-incidence. Wow, you set a great example to the world.
    Best wishes, Anna

    • srmarynoonan says:

Dear Anna, I also was delighted at meeting someone who seemed to have quite a lot in common with me – subjects taught, for one thing. How nice that we also share a birthday. It would be nice if we could meet again some time – say a meal at the Shamrock Hotel where it costs only $10 and is a really good deal, going Dutch! Are you interested. If so, my phone number is 6234 5868? I look forward to following YOUR site also. You seem much better off with WordPress than I am – maybe this won’t even come up because I couldn’t locate “Reply”. Thanks so much for your quick response. Mary.

  7. myviridian says:

Dear Sister Mary, how nice and hello again. We shall certainly go Dutch for a meal so I can learn more about you and we can celebrate OUR birthday. I am going away for a few days but shall give you a call on my return. I have noted down your number. What fun. I am hopeless at WordPress and am just building my site (not very well). I’ll tell you all about it when we meet. Til then, kind regards, Anna .

  8. Pat says:

Mary I was very pleased to find a link to your site from Cath news and will send an email soon.

Dear Pat, I’m glad you found me, and I hope you can enjoy some of my stories and thoughts on significant people in my life. The day I appeared on CathNews, there were over 400 viewers. But I am surprised that not one of them viewed two of my favourite writings: Shackleton, a Jesus model; and C.S.Lewis – from Atheist to Christian. May all be well with you, all manner of things! I look forward to hearing how you are some time, on an e-mail – if not in person! Mary.

    Hello Sr. Mary Noonan,
My name is Gabriel Kuman and I am one of the former students of Good Shepherd Seminary in Banz, Papua New Guinea. I am now studying here at the University of New South Wales, Australia and I just want to say hello to you. I will tell you more stories later.

I’m Alphonsus Wang, i using my daughter’s E-mail to write to you. I have received your letters, from now on you may write to me throungh this E-mail address!

    • srmarynoonan says:

Dear Phonse, It is good that you are able to meet me again via the Internet. I hope you are happy that I used the picture of your beautiful daughter with her new husband. Mary.

  12. srmarynoonan says:

Dear Shirley, Thank you so much for your greeting. As our priests get fewer, I think it is important to express the appreciation in our hearts. He is so busy that I doubt that he will ever even read what you and I have said about him. Loving wishes to you and Damian, Mary.

  13. srmarynoonan says:

Dear Gerry, You are dealing with a relative who is getting closer to the many limitations that come with the years! I really appreciate having you, the lovely singer, and one who keeps in touch, as my relative. Those limitations prevent me from responding as I’d like to. I’d certainly LOVE to have your CD’s (now, I have none) as I find it MOST DIFFICULT to have anything the least bit complicated to come up on my computer. As regards Facebook, I am unable to deal with that so that I believe it must be LOSING me friends, rather than GAINING some. All of those who make requests and get no answer from me must feel rejected The information I have to put in never works so I can’t say that “I accept you”. Offers to help never seem to materialise in anyone turning up to see if the problem can be fixed. Furthermore, I must say that my website (srmarynoonan.wordpress.com) takes most of my spare time and I have even been neglecting that lately.

My loving sypathy in the loss of Caitlin for whom you have shown such concern and care. I hope you and your loved ones are keeping well, If you found any photos among Caitlin’s I would always like some on my e-mail – any of those showing the Noonan family relatives from over the years -for example of Caitlin’s wedding, of those of her with her Noonan cousins, of Uncle Paddy and family. A bit demanding, but just letting you know that I really love to view my Irish relatives – only small photos. I can soon bring them up. That is one area I can deal with – all on my i-Photo. Can you send me again how to get onto your site. I was there once but failed to make you sing! Love from Mary.
